Fees

I, William Healan III, offer free consultations and will be happy to meet with you to discuss your case free of charge. For criminal cases, I will have either an in-person consultation or a brief phone conversation to give you an idea of what the fee will be. If you are charged with DUI, be aware that you might need to send a letter to the Georgia Department of Driver Services within 30 calendar days of your arrest to protect your license. At my law firm Healan Law Offices, P.C., I will give you one of these letters free of charge at an in-person consultation.
Criminal cases are handled on a flat fee depending on the type of case, location of the court, and the client’s past record or lack of record. There is typically an initial fee with an additional fee if the case goes to trial. All criminal clients will have a written fee contract so they will know up front exactly how much their attorney fees will be. There will be no surprise or unexpected bills at the end.
Personal injury cases are all handled on a contingent fee basis. The attorney fee is calculated as a percentage of the settlement or verdict from the at-fault party or insurance company. There are no upfront fees, and there are no attorney fees until and unless I recover money for the client.
